Here is the weekly travel update to get you around London this weekend. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal this weekend, but please check if any of the following affect you.

More Night Buses:
On Saturday, we will be running more than 150 extra night buses across central London to meet increased demand following the late evening England World Cup match in Brazil. These will supplement the existing 24‑hour and night bus services, providing over 1,000 buses.

London Underground

They are undertaking a comprehensive improvement programme across London’s transport network, including  modernisation of the Tube.

Circle line
There is no service between Gloucester Road and Edgware Road while we renew points at High Street Kensington.

 

 

District line
Trains will not run between Edgware Road and Wimbledon. This is to renew points at High Street Kensington, and replace track at Putney Bridge as well as drainage at Fulham Broadway and West Brompton.

 

 

Jubilee line
There is no service between London Bridge and North Greenwich while we carry out points improvement work at Canary Wharf.
London Overground

Trains will not run between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction to allow for Network Rail and Thameslink track improvement work.

On Sunday, there is no service between Willesden Junction and Camden Road while we carry out platform extensions and also revise signalling, in preparation to accommodate five car trains.

Special service:
During the above closure, a special service will operate between Willesden Junction and Stratford via Kensal Green, Queen’s Park, Kilburn High Road, Camden Road, and all stations to Stratford.

London Buses

 

 

Hammersmith – From 22:30 on Friday until 05:00 on Monday, buses in the area may face some delays, while the Hammersmith flyover is closed eastbound to allow for resurfacing and waterproofing work. Bus routes 27, 267, 391 and H91 will run on special timetables. For more information on these weekend closures, please click here

Tooting – From 07:00 on Saturday, until 19:00 on Sunday, temporary traffic signals will be in place on Trinity Road at the Junction of Eatonville Road affecting bus routes 219 and 319. This is due to utility work in the area.

South west – On Sunday, from 06:00 and for most of the day, a cycling event will run from Clapham Common to Brighton via Wandsworth, Merton, Mitcham, Sutton, Banstead and Reigate. Buses in these areas will be on diversion or stop short of their normal destination.

Central London – On Sunday, from 11:15 until 15:00, a procession will take place between Hyde Park and Trafalgar Square. Buses will be on diversion or stop short of their normal destination in the Notting Hill Gate, Marble Arch, Oxford Circus, Green Park, Knightsbridge and Victoria areas.

Roads

 

 

Road users may be affected by the following this weekend:

Hammersmith – From 22:30 on Friday until 05:00 on Monday, the Hammersmith flyover (A4) will be closed eastbound to allow for resurfacing and waterproofing work. For more information on these weekend closures, please click here

Tooting – From 07:00 on Saturday, until 19:00 on Sunday, temporary traffic signals will be in place on Trinity Road at the Junction of Eatonville Road due to utility work in the area.

Westminster – On Saturday, from 08:30 until 14:30, Constitution Hill, The Mall, Horse Guards Road, Birdcage Walk and Whitehall are closed for a ceremonial event.

Central London – On Saturday, from 12:45 until 14:00, there will be a procession from near Hyde Park to Trafalgar square via Piccadilly, Haymarket, Pall Mall East and Pall Mall.

South west – On Sunday, from 06:00 and for most of the day, a cycling event will run from Clapham Common to Brighton via Wandsworth, Merton, Mitcham, Sutton, Banstead and Reigate. Roads in these areas are expected to be busier than usual.

Central London – On Sunday, from 11:00 until 16:00, a procession will take place from Hyde Park to Trafalgar Square via Park Lane, Piccadilly, Haymarket and Pall Mall East.

Barclays Cycle Hire

 

 

There are changes to the availability of the following docking stations this weekend:
  New Cavendish is out of service until 08:00 Monday 23 June, due to site redevelopment work
  Eccleston Place is out of service until 18:00 Monday 16 June to enable telecom installation
  South Quay West has limited bike capacity due to building works in the area
